Also known as the Grey Thrush or the Japanese Grey Thrush, the Japanese Thrush belongs to the family Turdidae. The thrush are migratory or birds that transfer to different places, depending on the season. They generally breed in central China and Japan, around April or May, in time for spring. They then migrates to southern China, northern Laos and Vietnam around winter, leaving the original breeding grounds by October, in time for autumn. They occasionally pass by Taiwan and Thailand during their migrations. They usually thrive in deciduous or mixed deciduous and coniferous woodlands for breeding.
