Many people, especially kids, do not actually hate math. They are assumed to likely be afraid and confused of math: from simple situations to complex problems.
In the video, you can see a multiplication problem. Each number corresponds to one line, so if the number is 3, it substitutes for three lines. For example, if the equation is 13 x 21, one line will be drawn for number 1, and three lines for number 3. For 21, crossing the existing lines are two lines for number 2, and then one line for number one. Together, you will be creating a diamond-like pattern. There is a specific way of counting the points where the lines intersect and you will eventually get to the correct answer.
