Japan is known for its nerve-wracking, but heinously quiet horror films. Well, you have not seen everything unless you go to Tokyo in Halloween.
It seems that Japan has a great sense for out-of-the-box and scary because Halloween turns Tokyo into one big street party. Masses of people come down to the streets of Shibuya, dressed in a variety of costumes - ranging from adorable minions, hunky One Piece pirates, to a gross Sadako. There's dancing, music, night lights, and outlandish costumes everywhere. Massive parades of ghouls and monsters also happen in Kawasaki.
The best part is that it isn't just celebrated for one night. The party extends over the weekend. So don your scariest and make sure to catch Tokyo's Halloween crowd.
