Funassyi is the wacky, hyperactive yellow mascot of the city of Funabashi, Chiba. Funassyi usually cheers up people but in this video, it seems like the pear fairy is the one to be "cheered" up, in a different kind of way. Japanese cute mascots are known to move slowly, but it seems that adrenaline pushed Funassyi to act beyond being a pear.

Funassyi had been popular, even having a major show in Nippong Budokan, one of Japan's biggest concert venues. It also has its own character store now.
