Cyril Takayama is a Japanese street magician born and raised in Hollywood, California. His father is Japanese and his mother is French.

He started being interested in magic at the age of 6 when he saw a show in Las Vegas. Six years later, he joined a program at the junior division of the Magic Castle in Hollywood. At the age of 15, he was sent to Japan by his father. Two years later, he was discovered by a businessman who employed him as a magician in his hotel. After two years, Cyril started joining magic competitions and in 1991, he got a top award from the International Federation of Magic Societies. In 1992, he became a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
