Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Akatsuki no Minuet) is one of the top-grossing game released by Konami, a Japanese video-game maker. It was produced by Koji Igarashi, a writer and programmer. Soundtracks composed by Michiru Yamane, Soshiro Hokkai and Takashi Yoshida.

Aria of sorrow tells the story of Soma Cruz and his world set in the year 2035. Soma was an exchange student in Japan and while visiting the Hakuba shrine with friend Mina Hakuba, he was transported to the mysterious and demon-infested castle. Before he enters the castle, he meets Genya Arikado (a member of the Japanese government secret agency). Genya tells Soma to hurry quickly to the master's chamber to prevent Mina from dying a painful death. Inside the castle, Soma must defeat Dracula's minions by using a short sword and souls that he will collect on the course of his travel throughout the entirety of the castle.

As he progresses towards the game's conclusion and the master's chamber, Soma collects the souls of the defeated beasts and monsters roaming inside the castle..

He also gains several weapons such as large sword and powers such as lightning bolts to defeat minor enemies such as:

succubus

Kyoma demon

Lubicant

Alastor

Soma must also fight these bosses such as

Balor 

Legion

Headhunter

Belmont

Giant Skeleton

Golem

Graham

Chaos

Giant bat.

The game concludes in two ways, he fights Graham Jones (the cult leader) who controls a large monster and the second way is Chaos (a 3 statued monster that morphs into a dragon-like a creature).

To survive the Castle's nightmarish environment and demonic hordes who want nothing but see Soma dead, he must collect the monster's soul, power and purchase a number of weapons, potions and powerups.
