Due to the continuous decrease in Japan's birth rate, the national government and a lot of other groups and organizations have been doing all sorts of ways to trick the Japanese youth to find potential partners. 

This video features a speed-dating session organized by a group of otakus in Washinomiya, a small town located in Saitama Prefecture, just a few kilometers north of Tokyo. The term "otaku" is actually used for people who are fond of anime, manga, and video games. In this match-making activity, participants were allowed to wear masks of their favorite anime character and the result seemed to be a success.
