The Birthday is a Japanese rock band formed in the year 2006. Yusuke Chiba and members of ROSSO and Thee Michelle Gun Elephant formed the band after ROSSO’s disbandment. They had Kenji Fuji, the guitarist, and songwriter of My Little Lover after their former lead guitarist left. The Bithrthday’s genre is often a puck and psychobilly rock sound with Chiba’s loud and melodious voice.

Their first single is titled “Stupid” which was released in August 2006 by Universal Sigma. Soon after, they have started recording several singles and albums and released different full-length albums, singles, EPs and their live show recordings.
