The Beginning is the 7th single of the Japanese band ONE OK ROCK.
The song was also released in the band's sixth album, entitled Jinsei Boku. The song was used as the official theme song of the first live-action movie adaptation of the phenomenal hit manga Rurouni Kenshin. It reached number 3 in the daily Oricon charts and number 5 on the weekly charts. The songs stayed on the Oricon charts for 20 weeks.
The song won the Best Rocking PV and Best Single awards at the 2012 Jpop Asia Music Awards. It also won the Best Rock Video and Best Song From a Film awards at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Japan. It also won the Best Your Choice award at the Space Shower music video awards.
