"When we met, the pain stood still, it WAS us."
Mighty Long Fall was first released by Jrock band ONE OK ROCK, in 2014 as part of the Mighty Long Fall/ Decision single CD. It reached number 2 on the Oricon singles charts, upon release. It was then released as the fifth track of the 35xxxv album in 2015. The album became ONE OK ROCK's first number 1 on the Oricon music album charts.
The song was used as the theme song of the second live-action movie of the phenomenal samurai anime, Rurouni Kenshin. The title of the second movie was Kyoto Inferno, which introduced Kenshin Himura's greatest opponent, Makoto Shishio. The song seemed to have dwelt well on the overall theme of the movie, which showcased the past of both warriors.
