Fukuyama Masaharu is a veteran musician, singer-songwriter, and actor from Japan. He rose to fame in 1992 with his single, "Good night". Although debuting as a singer, Fukuyama got signed to his current agency, Amuse Inc., by passing an acting audition in the 1988 movie, "Hon no 5g". His acting and singing career has flourished throughout the years due to the fact that he was able to tie-in his songwriting with the dramas and commercials he was in. 

He has been the all-time best-selling male solo singer in Japan since 2011 with over 23 million copies sold. He is also the lead actor for the movie, Like Father, Like Son which won the Jury Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2013. To this day, Fukuyama is one of Japan's most celebrated solo male artists.
