After almost a year of hiatus, JPop girl group FAKY released three digital singles for their comeback last October 2015. "Candy" is one of the three comeback singles and was released exclusively in music streaming sites.

Prior to making the song, two members Diane and Tina left the group. And months after the resurgence of their band, Akina joined them. Aside from Candy, Afterglow and You were released as their singles on the same date. However, Candy was their seventh song that was digitally released and their remix edition, eighth.
