"Unchained Melody" is part of Dean's first EP, together with "Permanent Vacation," released last July 5. The latter was used as the theme song for Fujioka's movie entitled, "Kekkon."

A song about pain, giving up and holding on, the lyrics and feelings of "Unchained Melody" has been intensified by cinematic visuals like that of the Aurora Borealis, volcano eruption, icebergs, whales, sunsets and other natural imagery.

Dean Fujioka, who had started his career in modelling in Hong Kong in 2004, had been in the showbiz industry for quite some time now. He released his first in 2013 but it was only last year, with the song "My Dimension" did he make his musical break. The said song was the theme for the phenomenal ice skating anime, "Yuri on Ice."
