Boom Boom Satellites is a Japanese electronic music duo formed in 1990. It consists of a guitarist and vocalist Michiyuki Kawashima and the bassist and programmer Masayuki Nakano.
Their song is mostly big beat with heavy jazz influences but because of their wide use of electric guitar, it ended up strong rock and punk.
The band has released a lot of albums and all of it was on Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Some of their songs are used on different films, commercials, television programs, and even in Hollywood film and PlayStation Store.
One of their song that has been contributed is the group album, Full of Elevating Pleasures used as the soundtrack of the anime film Appleseed. They have also contributed to the Hollywood film The Dark Knight. Their latest single and final release before Michuyuki Kawashima died, Lay Your Hands on Me was used as the theme song for the anime Kiznaiver.
