Japanese tofu has been a staple food in the Land of the Rising Sun. Made from coagulated soy milk, Japan has devised a technique so their tofu will stay smooth and as custardy as possible. And one of the simplest yet most healthy way to eat tofu is through the yudofu. Coming from two words, yu meaning "hot water," and tofu, yudofu is simply cooking these nice white blocks of protein in hot boiling water. These boiled tofu are then seasoned with some kombu and are oftern served with just simple condiments. One may choose to not season it at all before eating for that freshest soy milk taste.
