O-nigiri, also known as o-musubi, nigirimeshi or simply 'rice ball', is a Japanese food made from white rice that is formed into triangular or cylindrical shapes (hence, the term "rice ball") and often covered in a paper-like nori, an edible seaweed that is also the primary ingredient for wrapping sushi. Opening this rice ball, though, is done in a certain steps that will not compromise the quality of the seaweed.
Umeboshi, also known as Japanese salt plums, salt plums, or pickled plums are pickled ume fuits common in Japan. The salty fruit can be partnered with rice when it comes to it being served as a meal.
For the first time and in her ninth day in Japan, Sharla's Anisha from India gets a taste on tuna and mayonnaise-flavored "O-nigiri" and a pickled plum, or the fruit they called "umeboshi." How did it taste like to them?
