Tonkatsu is usually served with rice. But Japan has created countless ways to enjoy their classic deep-fried pork cutlet. And one of them is the Tonkatsu Sando or the Tonkatsu Sandwich. Because it is a sandwich, the meat should be as soft as it can be, to enable enjoyment upon the first bite, because of this, pork loin or boneless chops are deep-fried for these. Tonkatsu sandos are also served with non-toasted bread. The soft loaf compliments the crunchy outside of the tonkatsu, which makes this tonkatsu sandwich more exciting for foodies.
