Being the largest city in the Chubu region in Japan, Nagoya, in Aichi Prefecture, has a lot to boast when it comes to food tripping. Nagoya offers tenmusu, a combination of two well-loved Japanese dishes: the tempura and the onigiri. Tempuras are shrimps coated in batter and then deep fried to golden brown crispy perfection. Onigiri is the traditional Japanese rice ball or also known as the Japanese rice on the go. Tenmusu combined the two, making every bite-sized rice chunk a perfect meal. The rice of the tenmusu is not seasoned at all because the shrimp already brings all the needed taste.
