Japan is among the top countries with the best food along with France, Spain and Italy. Japan's diverse climate, natural resources and its local ingenuity contributed to its unique food. The Japanese are also known for its "kawaii" or cute culture from street signages to food. Sushi is among the Japanese food that is too cute to eat. Preparing food that is presentable and good for the eyes is a form of expression. Such well-prepared food presentation also entails minimalist production and design for easy preparation and consumption. The sushi, also popular around the world, in its basic form, comprises small rolls of food wrapped in nori seaweed. Inside the roll are different ingredients.
Sushi is available in various types:
* Gunkan Maki - A type of "Maki" or rolled sushi that is made by leaving a tiny space on the top for the toppings that could be salmon roe, uni or sea urchin, potato salad, Negitoro (a mix of green onion and tuna belly).
* Nigiri - Made from hardpressed rice topped with tofu, seafood, meat, vegetables and tofu.
* Temari - A circular sushi made with rice, and toppings such as fish, shrimp, tuna and salmon meat.
* Temaki - Is a cone-shaped roll larger than the average sushi.
* Sashimi - Consists of only slices of tuna and salmon with a bed of daikon (radish). It's served with soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi.
* Inarizushi - Made from fried tofu pouch with sushi rice filling. It's deep fried from 110 to 120 C.

* Gei-niku - Whale meat
* Hotage-gai - Scallop
* Fugu - Pufferfish
* Otoro - Fatty tuna
* Sake - Salmon
* Maguro - Tuna
* Ebi - Shrimp
* Hamachi - Yellow tale
* Saba - Mackerel
