Japan has also been known for its different celebrations and drinking parties. Because of that Japan also has those big serving dishes that can accommodate each guest of the feast. There are these sawachi ryori that are specially made for big occassions. Sawachi ryori is a large platter of all your favorite Japanese dishes like sashimi, katsuo tataki or the tuna sashimi, sushi, some fried finger food and some pickled vegetables. It has been said that the dish has been preparing in Japanese kitchens since the Muromachi Period in Japan. In 1968, the Sawachi Festival has been founded to pass the techniques of the dish to the next generation.
