It has been discussed across the internet that real wasabi is uncommon and fake wasabi can be found in most restaurants and condiments. Fake wasabi is made from horseradish, cornstarch, mustard flour and green food colour. Real wasabi looks fleshy like carrot and tastes complex, delicate, subtle pungency, sweeter and herbal than the faux wasabi. Real wasabi is hard to grow and that's the reason for the low supply of real wasabi.
