Pro soccer team New York Cosmos suffered a humiliating defeat in a Buffalo Wild Wings eating contest to one of Japan's competitive eaters.
The team’s Peri Marošević was up against Takeru Kobayashi, Champion Competitive Eater and multiple Guinness Record holder in eating, and the defeat came to no surprise.
Kobayashi pulled the elaborate prank on April Fool’s and won 58 to 18 to the New York Cosmos’ midfielder-cum-biggest eater.
The video shows the conditions of the bet and Marošević’s initial dismissal of the lanky ‘bus boy’ look of Kobayashi, until the latter just finished up, making Marošević a whole bucket of chicken wings behind.
Takeru Kobayashi is a 5-foot-8, 128-pound Japanese World eating competitions record holder.
Kobayashi’s small stature, good looks, surprising age and signature body wiggle truly sets him apart from the rest.
