This cute chick-shaped custard pudding doesn’t only looks good but also tastes good.
The normal custard pudding in Japan is called purin. But, Cafe Gentiane Leger created an extraordinary custard pudding shaped like a baby chicken called “Piyorin”. The pudding got its name from the sound of the chirping chick, “piyo piyo” and purin.
The custard pudding is made with the most expensive cake called cochin eggs topped with a vanilla mousse and shaped like a tiny chick. The wings and the crown are made up of white chocolate to make it look more like a chick.
Different versions are also applied on this chick-shaped pudding cake depending on the season. There is also a Halloween version of piyorin during October and Santa versions during December.
