Undecided whether to grab sandwich or rice for lunch? Try some Onigiri sandwich. It will satisfy your stomach and will satisfy your taste buds.

Onigiri is a type of Japanese rice ball. Sometimes, it is referred to as  musubi. It is shaped into a flat triangle, looking almost like a sandwich. It is wrapped by a seaweed. Aside from rice, it also has various fillings inside.

This first onigiri sandwich appeared in 1990. It is seen on a popular comic book series entitled "Cooking Papa". The main character of the Cooking Papa is a salary man and he loves and enjoys to cook for himself and for his family. 

Onigirazu is derived from the word onigiri which means nigiru or to mold, and nigirazu where razu means the opposite.
