Are you craving for something fresh from the sea? Try Japan's Nigiri.
Nigiri is a type of sushi made of thin slices of raw fish over pressed vinegared rice. Small rice balls with fish, shellfish, etc. on top. There are countless varieties of nigiri-zushi, some of the most common ones being tuna, salmon, shrimp, eel, squid, octopus and fried egg. It is never served with meat. It is served mostly raw, but some nigiri are made with cooked or seared fish. It is usually accompanied with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
Eat it with your hands or chopsticks. Whatever way, you're bound to enjoy.
