Mt.Fuji Jelly is a jelly dessert made by the company Yamafuji. It resembles Japan's highest mountains by being made with some kind of milk or cream on top and the blue jelly that makes the rest of the bottom jelly. It has been said that Yamafuji used underground water from Mt.Fuji for quality water and to produce a crystal clear jelly with a refreshing aftertaste. For authenticity, Yamafuji told that the desserts were 100% in Yamanashi - a prefecture that encompasses the northern part of Mt. fuji. Yamafuji commented that they want to offer an affordable dessert and a souvenir at the same time as the number of tourists are increasing in Mt. Fuji. Mt.Fuji jelly costs around 223 yen or $2 from souvenir shops.
