Kuro burger (Kuro means black) is now one of the odd foods in Japan. The bun looks as if it was turned into charcoal. The Japanese franchise of burger king released black burger buns with onions and ketchup that were coloured black with bamboo charcoal and squid ink. Other ingredients include meat-flavoured pepper slab and black cheese. One taster told that the sauce is a bit garlicky and sweet. The cheese is a little bit tangy and salty complimented by the smoky flavours of bamboo charcoal.
