Akane Niikura is the youngest official sake expert. At the age of 10 years old during that time, she had passed the Sake Institute of Japan's experts.

She is known for having such good cooking skills at a very young age. Though she is too young to even be allowed to drink sake, she can already tell what dish will compliment a certain variety of sake by just smelling it and by the way it clings to the glass. Well, it is no surprise since she is a daughter of a sake bar owner. After school, she helps her mom to operate their sake bar by recommending sake to their customers.
