Watch as a Master Chef demonstrated the ways of preparing Dashimaki Tamago, a Japanese style of omelette that is made by rolling together several layers of cooked egg in a rectangular pan called makiyakinabe. While this video appears to make a rectangular-shaped rolled omelette, there are other types of cooking this food.
This dish is not just served during breakfast. It is also known to be eaten by many during lunch as part of the popular lunch box called makunouchi bento, and izakaya.
