Chu-hi drinks are Japanese flavored beers. They were often sold in cans. Its term is an abbreviation of "shōchū highball," meaning a Japanese distilled beverage comprised of an alcoholic base spirit and a larger proportion of a non-alcoholic mixer.
Different from the modern times, though. Chu-hi drinks are made with shōchū and carbonated water flavored with lemon during their early traditional years. Now, the variants of this carbonated drink widened; they have flavors like kiwi, mango, and lemon.
