Yoshihiro Sakimoto, a manager in the En Japanese Brassiere in West Village , New York City. Yoshihiro shows the best way to sip and pair the sake. Sake is a Japanese wine, an alcoholic drink which has been made by fermenting rice that has been polished to remove the bran.
Different kinds of sake is featured in this video: unpasteurized sake, junmai and shochu. Unpasteurized sake is best paired with desserts. Junmai is better when served hot. When drinking junmai, it should just be a sip not a whole shot. It is best paired with appetizers. Shochu, a distilled Japanese liquor, however, goes very well with miso.
