KitKat is one of those chocolate brands which originated in the United Kingdom but has created a whole new "fandom" in Asia, particularly in the Land of the Rising Sun. 

Because of the limited edition flavors created only in Japan, the chocolate brand was able to attract more tourists for the sole purpose of getting any of those collectible treats. Because of this it is no wonder that Japan is considered to be the brand's largest market.

Here is a video of a KitKat factory in Ibaraki, Japan. Here we can see how each wafer layers are filled with chocolate in between until they are coated once again with chocolate. The chocolate bars are then packed to be distributed nationwide.
