One of the problems Muslim tourists in Japan encounter is the lack of an accessible restaurant that offers Halal food. Halal can be literally translated as "permissible" and defined as any object or action which is permissible to use or engage in, according to Islamic law.
Similarly, the Muslims performs five daily prayers. And while Japanese tourist attractions gain more tourists, Muslims, on the other hand, find it harder to find a prayer space.
Today, in Japan's effort to become a Muslim friendly country, a map has been made available at the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center. This map contains the information regarding Halal-certified restaurants with prayer spaces.
