Fugu or pufferfish is a well-known delicacy served in Japan and can only be prepared by those who were trained and licensed chefs, as it contains toxins more lethal than cyanide.
There’s an estimate of around 20-40 poisoning cases courtesy of the fugu fish each year in Japan and yet, people still wanted to eat it—saying that the appeal of a Russian roulette at the dinner table is quite attractive indeed.
