There is a cake shop in Nara, Japan where people go not just to buy mochi (Japanese rice cake), but also seeing it be made in such a high-speed yet entertaining fashion. People are amused to see Mr. Mitso Nakatani and his crew at Nakatani-do cake shop pound the dough in an action-aced manner for at least twp minutes. This dough is made of a boiled sticky glutinous rice called monogome mixed with "yomogi" grass giving it the green color.
From there, the pounded dough was put in a machine, which forms the cake by injecting sweet bean paste (or anko) into it. Then the cake is covered with a soybean flour (kinako).
