Vending machines in Japan is EVERYWHERE. It is a convenient tool that can be found even on streets and inside buildings. It offers a variety of choices from staple foods and necessities to quirkier, even sometimes questionable, items. Vending machines are so common that it is already integrated in the Japanese lifestyle.
In a city located in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan called Awa-shi, a farmer thought of an ingenious plan to sell Curry Rice as a ready-made meal. Tadashi Yoshimoto grows the Hinohikari rice (roughly translated as Sun field Light rice) from a nearby rice paddy and delivers it twice a day, fresh from his own farm.
The 74-year-old has been running the vending machine business for about 40 years. The rare, freshly produced food vending machine sets a new standard for the ready-made provisions.
For only 300 Yen, you can now eat tasty homemade Curry Rice from a vendo machine.
