Sushi is basically one bite-sized chunk of rice, with a sumptuous flavored or fresh meat or vegetable on top. But the Japanese are innovative and creative when it comes to food. They made sushi-making easier and more filling with the chirashizushi. This is known as the scattered sushi because it is usually served on a plate or bowl of rice, with all the meat and vegetables on top. Instead of being bite-sized chunks of rice, this is a full meal served on bowl or plate.
