Visvim is founded by Hiroki Nakamura in Ura-Harajuku. Starting off as a footwear brand, it expanded into clothing apparel, as a men’s wear line. Visvim’s unique blend of tradition and modern technology makes it notable against other brands. The styles are mostly inspired by traditional clothing all over the world, made with traditional techniques for production and dyeing, while using modern technology to improve materials. Recently, Visvim opened WMV, its own women’s wear line and another men’s wear line called the F.I.L. Indigo Camping Trailer. Nakamura’s designs show in Tokyo, Paris, and New York, with 7 stores in Japan and 135 retailers internationally.
