Men's obi are usually narrower than that of the women's. The obi is usually made of brocade or silk, or any other high-end and elegant fabrics. The Japanese has also developed around 10 ways of tying this royal sash. The obi knot is called a "musubi." The taiko musubi is the kind of knot which can be seen by most wearers of the kimono.
