Tokyo Girls Collection has been introducing Japanese female culture to the world since August 2005. Held twice a year, the event gathers 100 of the most famous models in the industry to showcase the collection of the time and showcase real Japanese style.

The theme of this batch of designs is "Girls Party," a collection made for a Saturday night out during the Summer or Spring. The visual theme, on the other hand, is retro illustration which brings out the power, excitement and passion in women.

For the 2016 Spring/Summer collection, Japanese fashion label MURUA showcased clothes made of light airy fabric that is suitable for keeping the body cool in summer. Included in this collection were 5 casual dresses, 2 swimwear and 3 outfits for everyday wear. The designer, Momoko, believes that wearing cute dresses helps to bring out the inner strength of a woman.
