Decora is a Japanese fashion style that banks on an over-the-top look. The style is inspired by the colorful characters of 80’s cartoons.

Girls following this style usually wear their bangs with many colorful clips. Tutu skirts are also a popular choice for bottoms. Bright accessories are also piled on. Neon colors are commonly seen with the decora fashion as well.

Decora Fashion first appeared in the late 90’s and kept its popularity in the 2000’s. Its is believed that the Japanese pop singer and fashion designer Tomoe Shinohara coined the style.

Decora has four subcategories: casual decora; dark decora; decora lolita; and pink decora.
