You can also see the evolution of trends from kimonos, to Western prints, to avante-garde fashion which led to the Harajuku fashion that we know to the famous kawaii look.

The video, of course, ends in the present, where Japan is considered to be one of the most advanced countries in the world. It is a leader not only in economy and technology, but also in fashion.
