Takisanji Oni Matsuri is a fire festival held in February, which involves the blessing of the 42, 25, and 12 year old males. They wear ceremonial masks: the oldest wears the mask of a grandfather, the 25 wears the mask of the grandmother, and the youngest wears the mask of a grandson. About 30 men and women born in the year with the same Chinese zodiac of the festival participate in lighting torches. This festival is also welcoing the beginning of spring.
