The three day festival consists of also of three rituals to wish for good health. On the 30th, Yoimiya-sai festival is held. The second day marks the highlight of the entire event where nagoshime women and children are in their costumes of the Muromachi period (14-16th century). They go through a large ring made of thatch. The first day of August marks the end of the festival, where mikoshi (portable shrines) parade up to Shukuin Tongu shrine. When the participants reach the shrine, the solemn aranigono-ooharai-shinji ritual is held.
