Shingenko Matsuri

This is an event that tributes the life of the great warlord Takeda Shingen. Every year, a famous Japanese actor is assigned to re-enact a certain stage in Shingen's life. With a production that invloves more than 1,500 people, it is regarded by many as the nation's biggest and most popular Samurai Festival.

This festival is held on the first weekend of April.
