Shimokitazawa Tengu Festival or the Long Red-nosed Festival is a three-day annual festival being held in late January or early February. This event is held to honor the Japanese god of mischief and patron saint of the martial arts, Tengu. Tengu also referred to as the Slayer of Vanity. He likes to play tricks to those arrogant people and to those who intentionally use their knowledge or authority to gain fame or position.       Photo by norlo nakayama.
