The Setsubun Mantoro, which happens every February 2-4, is a signification that the season is transitioning from winter to spring. Setsubun means “seasonal divisions” in Japanese. In hopes of more blessings, thousands of lanterns are lit during the event. This Japanese tradition has spanned for centuries and has consistently gathered a large audience.
