Setsubun Mamemaki (Bean-throwing) at Zojoji

It is an annual festival at Zojoji Temple. It marks the end of winter season and welcomes spring season (setsubun celebration). Mamemaki (soya bean throwing) is held to repel disasters and accidents, attract good fortune and bring good fortune.
