The Nagasaki Lantern Festival begun as a Chinese new Year Celebration by the Chinese merchants living in Nagasaki. it then eventually became a festival and an annual event in Nagasaki. There are over 15,000 lanterns lighten up the city for 15 days. Aside from the lanterns, there are also other attraction during the festival such a Emperor's Parade, Chinese Lion Dance, and Chinese Acrobatics.
