Matsushima Kaki Matsuri (Oyster Festival)

Matsushima Kaki Matsuri is the place for bivalve enthusiasts! The locales celebrates the kaki (oyster) during its peak season with Buddhist ceremonies and 100-meter long grill in the beachside park at Matsushima Bay to cook oysters and other seafood bought in the market. Oysters are usually sold in the afternoon.
